The 2 day Outdoor First Aid Course is accepted by the UK Outdoor National Governing Bodies for their instructor awards these include:
Mountain Leader (ML);
Walking Group Leader (WGL);
Single Pitch Award (SPA);
Mountain Bike Leader (MBL);
Mountain Bike Trainer (MBT);
Mountain Bike Instructor (MBI);
Basic Expedition Leader Award (BELA);
And many more.
The qualification is also ideal for any teachers wishing to be well-equipped and prepared for working with children and young people in the outdoors. Teachers leading field trips in Geography or Biology who are working where it would be take more than 20 minutes for an ambulance or medical care to arrive are recommended to have this qualification. If you intend to run a Forest schools programme as a forest school Practitioner this is the first aid qualification which keeps your forest schools qualification valid. Also is ideal for those that want to be involved with DofE.

The qualification also meets the needs of grounds based outdoor worker or supported outdoor practitioner in the UK. This Outdoor First Aid qualification is externally regulated and meets the standards to appear upon the national qualifications frameworks of England and Wales.
It is suitable for workers in rural and remote settings and will maintain the license to practice for those with some Outdoor National Governing Body Instructor awards.
The course meets the requirements of the Institute for Outdoor Learning Statement of Good Practice for Outdoor First Aid Training Framework at Band 2. This is hosted upon the Institute for Outdoor Learning website.
